The Gangplank Marina on the Potomac

Marina Overview

Mermaid decoration

The Gangplank Marina docks can accommodate vessels to 125 feet in length with a beam of 32 feet. In-slip amenities include Telephone, CATV, and Electrical Power (50 Amp 125/250 Volts as well as 100 Amp single phase, split phase and three phase at some locations). Marina services include ice, showers, laundry facilities, dock carts, winter deicing systems for docks and piers, 24-hour Security service staffing our parking lot and security gates, package delivery, notary services and private parking by permit. Boat service and repair is handled by outside marine contractors whose names and insurance are maintained on record in the marina security office.

Protecting the Potomac

Gangplank is a Coastal Properties managed marina and is proud to provide amenities that help to conserve our waterways. Recycling (glass, paper, used batteries, waste oil and diesel, and fluorescent bulbs) and pump out facilities are provided to insure that the "Zero" discharge requirement in all waters of the District of Columbia are met. In addition to our on-dock pump out system which is plumbed directly into city sewers, we have a floating environmental barge to handle large sewage pump out needs or emergencies which the dock system may not be able to handle. All visiting boaters will be asked to sign a document showing they meet stringent EPA and District of Columbia municipal regulations regarding marine sanitation devices (holding tanks only).

Bridge Information

With the completion of the new Woodrow Wilson Bridge, there is no restriction for vessels whose height is less than 65 feet. If your boat is taller than 65 feet, please consult your NOAA Potomac chart for instructions and calling numbers for bridge communications and opening information.
